Stamp Ink Paper 48 Chocolate Chip, Calypso Coral and Pool Party

Hey there and Happy Tuesday! Life is back in full swing even though we are still cleaning up stuff from our lovely twister! I can't beleive that the kids have only 7 school days left! It all went by so fast! Taryn, my youngest will be graduating Kindergarten! Where does the time go?? Did I mention my Mom is flying in?? So I am sure with EVERYTHING that I need to get done it is all going to fly right by!

This week at Stamp Ink Paper we have a really interesting color combo! I say interesting because I wasn't quite sure how I was going to pull it all together.... But I did and I can't wait show you what I came up with!
Click Here For Full Challenge Details!

So this card is a great combination of two brands! Timeless Textures made its debut in the Stampin' Up! Spring Occasions catalog! I bought it for the coffee rings but the more that I experiment with it I love it! So the Pool Party ink was stamped using Timeless Textures, I then used the dots from the same set with Calypso Coral ink and of course the rings had to be Chocolate Chip! The little splatters were also stamped using Chocolate Chip ink they added some balance! The "awesome" coffee cup with heart shaped steam comes by way of Sugar Pea Designs. This great set has coordinating dies that are just amazing and cut the cup right out! My "Coffee" sentiment is also in this die collection. I cut it three times out of Calypso Coral card stock and glued them all together so that it had some dimension! To finish this fabulous card off I adhered some Rose Gold and Espresso sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!
Now that I have inspired you... Go make a card! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

OSAT May Flowers Blog Hop

Hey there!! Happy Thursday to you!!! It is the second Thursday of the month and we should all what that means by now! It is the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! If you got to by way of Alisa Tilsner her creations are always so lovely!
I have to be honest I am not sure how I pulled it all together for this hop. You see, this past Saturday we had an EF2 Tornado hit here in Wray, Colorado. Well not only did it hit in Wray it hit the property that we live on and destroyed a friends house up north! This all happened while we were in Nebraska!!! It was pretty scary not knowing what were going to come home to even though we knew that our house was okay! It has made for quite an interesting week! What was my silver lining you ask? MY Stampin' Up! 2016-2017 Catalog PRE-ORDER came!!!! So everything I have for you is NEW!!! Wooty WOOT!

So my creations this month started with the Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit! This kit is absolutely adorable. I just love the colors!!! It comes with the cute cellophane bag and the striped box shown here but it also has a tiny acetate box and a gift bag to create as well! The colors really caught my eye on this. It is the NEW Emerald Envy and Peakaboo Peach as well as Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Mint Macaron and Whisper White with Gold Accents.

So to coordinate with the Perfectly Wrapped Kit, I started my card with a vivid base of Emerald Envy. To keep with the scheme of things I matted the Black and White striped paper from the NEW Pop of Pink DSP with the Peakaboo Peach. My Scribbles are a new Thinlit! They are called Scribbles Thinlits. I used the precision plate to cut these out. They came out of the dies with ease using our Die Brush! I created my flower using two of the dies to adhere this to the NEW Flirty Flamingo card stock I used spray adhesive then fussy cut the outer edge. I stole the leaves from my Perfectly Wrapped kit and added them to my flower. My Gold border on the left hand side was also from the scribble thinlits simply cut from our Gold Foil paper! To adhere these I used a two way glue pen. Ooops I almost for my banner!! Obviously it is new too! It is a great little bundle available in the new catalog! The stamp set is called Thoughtful Banners and coordinates with the new Duet Banner Punch. This bundle is going to be super versatile! I stamped the banner outline with Emerald Envy ink and the sentiment with our Archival Black! What card of mine wouldn't be complete with some lovely sequins that I still have from the Hello December kit!

These are the Perfectly Wrapped Projects stamped with the Perfectly Wrapper stamp set! If you look below I gave you a closer look at the beautiful flower!

Phew! Seems like a lot of work right? Honestly, half a day with all the items made!

ICS Blog Hop Girls Night Out

Hey there and Happy Wednesday evening to you all!! Welcome to this months Inspire, Create, Blog Hop!! If you came by way of Joni and are here for your first time Welcome!

This week we have a really fun theme "Girls Night Out"! I am sure at this point a few of us need one too! It is going to be so much fun to see to what all the ICS Hoppers have come up with!

Now when I think "Girls Night Out" I was once a very rowdy girl! I used to frequent the local honky-tonks! I loved (actually still do) to dance!!! So I went with a really wild color combo of Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White! Hope you enjoy, here are the details...

The base of my card started with Melon Mambo Card stock. The Basic Black layer is embossed using the Boho Chic embossing folder. The zebra pattern is from the soon retiring Go Wild DSP Stack. The shaker I created using a Sizzix photo frame die using the heart pattern from the Everyday Chic DSP. I am so sad to see this paper retiring as this is the FIRST time I have been able to play with it! I colored random hearts using my Melon Mambo Stampin' Write marker! The "Cheers" sentiment was heat embossed twice with clear embossing powder! I set this aside and tied a quick little knot using the Melon Mambo cotton ribbon and adhered the shaker to the card. My final touch was the Silver sequin trim!!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I can't wait for you to see what Jen has made for you! You can get there by clicking next!

Stamp Ink Paper 46 Tic Tac Toe

Hey there!!! Happy May to you all with May brings flower and an overwhelming sense of spring!!! At least for most of you.... I had snow and rain all weekend!!!
This month we have the amazing Jan Tinklenberg guest designing for us!
We are starting this month with a really fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge!! I made my three in a row by going down the left side of the column!

This fabulous card kind of started backwards... I made the flower first and then started piecing things together... The stamps I used are called "Don't Be Like The Rest Of Them..." from Unity Stamp Company! I simply stamped the flower image using Versamark ink. Then used the gold Stampin' Emboss powder to heat emboss it!!So I did something new. I used my aqua painters with Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi ink to watercolor my rose! I then took about a yard of gold metallic thread and wrapped it around my fist to create the loops behind the rose! The lovely stitched rectangles are from Gina Marie Designs. For my bling I adhered a mix of Pretty Pink Posh sequins!!  Flower, Pink, Bling that is my Tic Tac Toe!!!
Now I want to see how make our three in row!!!
