Hey Y'all!! It will seem appropriate when you see my card!
Hope everything is well for all of you! The weekend is right around the corner and I am patiently waiting for a shipment from Michaels to finish, that is right I said FINISH my craft room!

I have been a busy bee in the craft room lately and have found a new addiction to shaker cards!
This morning the light bulb clicked on and I knew exactly what I was going to do for Can You Case It's sketch this week!!

So we all know that I am a little bit country right?! I mean we live in rural Colorado... I have more boots than tennis shoes... We have horses... I am sure you get it! This sketch SCREAMED country to me!
I started with a lovely base of Cherry Cobbler card stock from Stampin' Up!. The next lovely layer is from a My Minds Eye stack of just wood grains... My sentiment was stamped with Stampin' Up Early Espresso ink. This great sentiment is from the Unity Stamp Co and is called Cowgirl Up! I distressed the edges with Walnut Stain. My Shaker is made using Circle Framelits! I used a vintage Stampin' Up Star punch in the center to create my window! My shaker bits are made using gold seed beads,  Pretty Pink Posh Sparkly Clear, Espresso and Gold sequins in a variety of sizes! I couldn't just stop with the sequins!! I finished off this little hottie with a linen thread bow with tails that I curled using my finger nail!!

Hope y'all enjoy my creation today! See y'all soon!

Things are finally coming along in my craft room! I will be so excited to share it with you when I am all done!

My card started with an A2 base of Stampin' Up! Pool party with a matte of Tip Top Taupe. I then used the stitched rectangles to cut out my patterned paper. The coffee and sentiment are from Sugar Pea Designs and can be found at Butterfly Reflections Ink. Vanessa has a fabulous assortment of stamps and coordinating dies! I made my shaker using an acetate sheet out of the PL Memories in the Making Specialty Card Collection out of the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration catalog. I used a mixture of gold seed beads I had on hand and Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Sand, Espresso to create the shaker and Sparkly Clear to add some umph on the outside! The cute little foam is cut from Stampin' Up! Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper. The sentiment banner is layered over a staple piece of the pool party ribbon that I stapled pleats into. I stamped this using Tip Top Taupe ink then used brushed gold cardstock for the "Latte" die! I finished this card with some scattered sequins and gold metallic thread!

Not bad for my first shaker huh?

Angela Carter (She is next on the hop)

Sarah Devendorf
This month our theme is Black, White and Whatever you like! Who doesn't like black and white with a splash of fun!? I really wrestled with my concept on this hop! OF COURSE I AM GOING TO USE BLUSHING BRIDE! No matter how hard I tried not to it just kept coming together in my head that way! In my mind I was thinking "Sweet 16".  So here we go Black, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride with a Splash of Gold!

This great card started with a base of Blushing Bride. I then matted the Typeset Specialty DSP at 1/8" matte instead of the standard 1/4".  I made a Gold Foil Banner using our Banner Framelits and Gold Foil Paper. Next I used our Basic Black card stock with the Lots of Labels Framelits. You can see that I sprayed some Gold Heidi Swapp shimmer mist on this. The gold foil doily is from the Love Blooms embellishment kit. I created the sentiment banners using Very Vanilla card stock with the Number of Years Bundle. They were stamped with the Archival Basic Black ink, then the sentiments were heat embossed using the Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. I adhered these to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Of course I had to use the Blushing Bride Glimmer paper for this fabulous card. So I decided to use the Large Number Framelits to cut the "16" out! I then used a combination of the Hello December and the Love Blossoms embellishment kit Sequin mixes!! To top this card off I also used the Blushing Bride satin ribbon in a cute square knot at the bottom!
Now for the purse...

I can't take credit for the tutorial for this purse! I actually stumbled on this Pin on Pinterest! I honestly don't know why I hadn't tried one before. It has a lot of room inside! You can find the tutorial on Papercraft Button! I used a sheet of 12 x 12 Blushing Bride Card Stock. I then used the coordinating DSP from Typeset so that my "purse" would coordinate with my card! The Gold Metallic Washi just became available as a FREE Sale-A-Bration item! All you have to do is spend $50! This stuff is so easy to work with! I even made the rosette with it just by pleating it onto a circle punch! I finished this with BIG bling brad from Michaels that I had in my stash!

PHEW!!! Done! I can't wait for you to see what Angela has made for you all!

Stamp Ink Paper 35 Lisa's Sketch!

Happy Tuesday to all!! Welcome to another wonderful week of Stamp Ink Paper!! This week we have a really fun sketch that design team member Lisa Altman has designed for us. You can get all the details below!

So... I colored!!! Aren't y'all proud!? This great set is from Unity Stamp Co. I started this card with a vibrant base of Cucumber Crush. The DSP is from Stampin' Up! Cherry on Top stack.. I then did a cite little matte in the center using Cucumber Crush and Whisper White.. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom right of the square with Basic Black archival ink. I then used a quick piece of washi tape. My lovely little pickle... You can chuckle it's ok! I stamped this in the Basic Black Archival ink so that I could color him using my Prismacolor pencils. Last but certainly not least, some great Pretty Pink Posh sequins and a pleated banner!!

It is a really great sketch! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

OSAT Blog Hoppers Love is in the Air

Welcome to the February One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! Phew!!! Another weekend on its way!!
If you got to me by way of Justin Krieger, I am so happy to have you here! I just loved Justin's creations this month! The Heart Shaker was definitely my favorite... I hope I am his Valentine..
.
This month our theme is "Love is in the Air".  I can't wait for you to tour the whole hop to see what all my crafty friends have in store for you! We have a few new hoppers so make sure you tour the whole hop to see what we have all created!

I was so excited to ink the new photopolymer set Grateful Bunch! To be honest, I just wanted the set for the lace border stamp but when I got it, I LOVED IT! Plus it has a coordinating punch!! Who can turn down a bundle?! Not this girl!
I inked up the border stamp in Sahara Sand and created the lace border pattern on the bottom of the Very Vanilla card stock.  The lovely dotty leaf pattern is also from the same set. These are stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink. The cute little flowers were stamped with Blushing Bride ink. The stamp actually has all 3 flowers on it! I layered two of them up with Glue Dots and curled up the edges with my scoring tool. The center one I actually used Dimensionals between the layers to give it a little more depth. The centers of the flowers are the lovely little dots from the Love Blossoms Embellishment kit. I just couldn't resist the butterfly in this set! Yes, I wish it was a just a little bit bigger. Mint Macaron seemed to be the best color for this stamp onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I fussy cut it with a fabulous Paper Snips then shaped the wings a little with my bone folder. Like the lace at the bottom, I stamped the sentiment in Sahara Sand. The Blushing Bride cotton ribbon and Venetian Crochet Trim seemed to be just the right touch!. I matted this with Blushing Bride cardstock and adhered it to a Mint Macaron base.

My tea bag holder I actually found on Pinterest. You can thank Vicki for the tutorial!Vicki Collins Mini Tea Bag Caddy Tutorial. I simply used Sahara Sand for my base with the Timeless Elegance DSP. The Blushing Bride satin ribbon is from the Love Blossoms Embellishment kit. I tied a simple bow around the box and the used it to make the handle at top with the crochet trim.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Next is the talented Marisa Gunn! I am so excited for you to see her creations this month! She was so excited about the theme that she did it a month early LOL!!
Have a fabulous day!

Stamp Ink Paper 34 It's a Love Theme

Good Tuesday to all of you! Are we all happy with the Super Bowl outcome? I know I am!
It was a great ending to a really rough week. I lost my uncle Saturday morning after complications from a surgery to remove a cancer in the sheath of his nerves around his chin... Needless to say, it took me a bit to get into my groove to make this Monday morning!

Enough of the sad stuff!!! We have a really easy Love themed challenge for you! I am sure that all of you can come up with something with Valentines right around the corner...

This Lovely card started with a soft base of Crumb Cake card stock. I did a quick matte of Blushing Bride! I really love that Stampin' Up! is catering to my addiction to this color! The DSP is from the 6 x 6 stack Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. I then used the Sahara Sand Lace Trim with a piece of the vintage Blushing Bride trim I had in my stash or should I say hoard? I then used my Big Shot with the Sizzix Precision Plate to cut out the Bloomin' Heart thinlit in Blushing Bride card stock. The sentiment is stamped in Rose Red ink on Whisper White card stock. I used my circle framelits in my Big Shot to cut this as well.  My Gold Metallic thread loops and sparkly enamel dots seemed to be just the right touch of pizzazz that this card needed.

Thank You so much for stopping by! Feel free to ask me any questions... I may have left something out!

ICS Blog Hop Its A Love Thing

Good Evening and welcome to the ICS "It's a Love Thing" Blog Hop! If you got to my blog by way of Nichole Smith and it is your first time here Welcome! Nichole really had the love going on her card!
I am currently buried in snow! We got hammered yesterday with a foot... Which yes it isn't all that much but there are drifts over my head and I am not short (5'9")... The kids have attempted to play in it but its hard to do when the drifts are up to your arm pits!
Our theme this month is "It's A Love Thing" and I veered away from the traditional Valentine colors and I really love the way it has turned out!
I can't wait to give you the details below

The card started with a Mint Macaron base with a quick black matte. The Whisper White card stock was stamped using the Watercolor Words. I used the Mint Macaron ink for my hearts and heat embossed the sentiment in black. The DSP at the top is from "It's My Party" DSP Stack. I knew I had to use the Mint Macaron and Black Bakers Twine to make a lovely little bow! The sequins are from the Hello December 2015 Accessory kit and the Black enamel dots are actually Crushed Curry covered with a black Sharpie!
My coordinating Mini Treat Bag is made with same DSP as above and a few of the framelits from the Mini Treat Bag set! It really is a cute ensemble!

I can't wait to show you what Joni has done!

Stamp Ink Paper 33 Red Black and Gold

Hey there!! It has been a blustery beginning to my week! Snow sideways most of my Monday!
With it being Tuesday we all know what that means.... Stamp Ink Paper!

I am sure that we are all in full blown Valentine making mode! Me?! I honestly am trying to put my best foot forward! Hearts are probably my least favorite shape LOL! Not something I own a lot of... Thankfully we have a beautiful color challenge for you! I can't wait to show you what I have made!

Wow!!! At least that is what I think when I made this card. It is VERY dramatic for me! The colors lend themselves to a dramatic card.
The card base is Very Vanilla Card Stock with a simple matte of the stripe from the Timeless Elegance DSP. You will notice a nice gold foil banner off to the left there. I will be honest last spring I was in love with the Artisan Embellishment kits laser cut rose panel. I stumbled on a die that cut the same pattern! So I simply cut this out of Real Red card stock heat embossed it with clear Stampin' Emboss powder. I adhered this with the two way glue pen onto a Basic Black background and then glued this over the gold foil banner.... Now I will be honest, this is where things got a little tricky! I wanted to use my "Love" from my retired Expressions Thinlits. Apparently it is MIA in my craft room... I used the lovely Die and Banner Stamp from the Number of Years Bundle. I stamped the banner with the Basic Black Archival Ink and then use Gold Stampin' Emboss powder for the Heat Embossed "Love You" from the Bloomin' Love set. The Champagne Rose from the Rose Garden dies and Hello December Sequins gave this card just the right amount of class it needed!

Thank you so much for stopping in!
Have a great day!
