Stamp Ink Paper 16 Cardmakers Choice Christmas Style

Hey there and welcome to another week of Stamp, Ink, Paper! It is been an eventful week in The Tucker house! One child with a sprained foot, while on my way home from doctor my foot turned into lead! Speeding ticket for this girl... First moving Violation in 17 years!! Cop said I was the first person he has seen pull over before he even got completely turned around and his lights on... Oh Well what was I suppose to do? The youngest has an ear infection!!! BLAH!
New week new attitude LOL! Right!? Well we have one of our favorite challenges for you this week!
No Rules! Make a card using your favorite stamp set, ink colors and paper! I took the opportunity to use something from Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog that I hadn't yet used!

So this card started to come together in a really weird way... No rules right!? I had purchased the tag on the left a while ago... They happen to be sitting on my work space when I went to my craft room this morning. After some creative collaboration with Tina Riddle on the phone I knew that I wanted to use Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White. Not only did I know what my colors were going to be, I knew that I wanted it to be a Christmas card. I hadn't used my Peaceful Pines bundle yet. Today was my window of opportunity! The bundle is amazing with 3 different tree sizes and thinlits to "Decorate" the trees! I stamped the Big Red Tree using the bundle. When I took out my big shot and the dies to go with stamp set I knew I needed to another tree as well so I cut the black tree and used the a die to make the little holes in it so that the gold glimmer paper shines through. I also used the gold glimmer paper for the star at the top of the red tree. The bow on the tag was made using our ever so cute Bow Builder Punch with our glimmer paper with a big pearl on top. The "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from our Petite Pairs set. I simply stamped this in Real Red and then used the Bitty Banner framelits to cut out!
I know not your "normal" Andrea card... I really love the way it turned out!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Stamp, Ink, Paper 15 Color Challenge

Great Tuesday to you! Really sad day here! Found out yesterday that a kid that goes to school with mine was killed in a quad accident... It made for a terrible start to the week... I'll admit that my head wasn't in making a card but with these great colors it made life easier.

So here it is. Clean quick and simple. The base of the card is Basic Black. My next layer is pool party with another quick layer of Very Vanilla. I used the Rose plate from Dies By Dave to make the black rose pattern. On the bottom right I stamped the word Dream from a retired set in the Archival Black. I still needed the Daffodil Delight, so I took the Butterfly Thinlit to cut it out and did the double layer of heat embossed clear on it. I then used Enamel dots to make the Butterflies body and adhered it on the top left...

Ta Da Done!!! Please pray for the local families effected. It's so hard on the kids! Have a great week and I can't wait to see what you do!

Stampin' Friends Blog Hop Everything Fall

Hey there and welcome to the very first Stampin Friends Blog Hop! If you haven't been to my blog before I am Andrea Tracy-Tucker Demonstrator for Stampin' Up!! I live on the far eastern plains of Colorado! I am the mother of 3 wonderful kids 2 boys and 1 girl! All of them are FINALLY in school! My husband is a veteran and now a blue collar worker. We also have 3 horses and 2 dogs.

Did you get here by way of my dear friend Tina? Don't just love Tina's Fry Box? I hope that candy is for me!!!

To kick this hop off we have 3 amazing guest hoppers this month! You can find there links below!

I must confess "Fall" is not my bag! I really didn't have a lot of what I would consider fall stamps. Totally weird, I know! So I used what I had in what I felt like was fall like colors! I really love the way everything turned out! Let me get you the details

So the struggle was real! I think I started 3 cards before finally coming up with this. I stamped the Hardwood using Tip Top Taupe Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock. Kind of a backwards way to start a card but some days I am anything but conventional! I then made the base of the card in Mossy Meadow! It coordinates with bow on the pumpkin below! I then used a piece of the Farmers Market DSP to create a matte for the Hardwood. On the Hardwood layer I stamped the leaves from the Choose Happiness set. I then stamped the lovely little flower in Blackberry bliss then fussy cut it with my Paper Snips. The "Grateful" thinlit is from the Sparkly Seasons bundle in the Holiday catalog! This was adhered to the card using two way glue pen. I still felt like it needed some thing so I stamped the bird from the same set in Delightful Dijon to give it some POP. This too was fussy cut! Then I fastened the flower and the bird using Stampin' Dimensionals. The In-Color Striped cotton ribbon in Mossy Meadow on the right was the perfect finishing touch! Now onto my project!

I know that I have done this basket before! But I had to do a different spin on it with In Color Striped Ribbon  around the outside. I had stamped it out using the Hardwood Stamp in Soft Suede ink onto a Sahara Sand Card Stock. I then sponge daubed the edges to give somewhat of a barn wood feel. The lacy trim under the scallop edge is the Venetian Crochet Trim. To top off the fall look I added some raffia in the basket for my Curvy Keepsake Pumpkin to set on. This little cuties was made using Tangelo Twist card stock! I then Embossed each part of the box with the Wood grain embossing folder! What pumpkin wouldn't have leaves at the top?? Well instead of leaves I added a lovely little Mossy Meadow DSP Bow using the Bow Builder Punch.

Thank You all so much for stopping by!! We have plethora of amazing talent on this hop so make sure you stop by and see each of us!! I am sure Deana has created something amazing for you to see!

SIP 14 Sketch Challenge

Terrific Tuesday to you all! School is in full swing and now this mommy has time to herself!!! Okay stop laughing, I have now been roped into being a class room volunteer! In the past I have been there maybe once a week for an hour or so but not this year! I am in one class for an hour a day. Then I go to another class if I have time.... THEN (Yes, remember I have 3 in my Tucker Tribe) I go to lunch with the Kindergartner... Sometimes I even end up in that class too!! I think I shall wear a cape and be called Wonder Mom!

Justin put together a really great sketch for us this week! You could really keep it clean, quick and easy... Since that is a challenge for me I went a different route. Here are the details...

This great card started with a fabulous base of Lost Lagoon!! I have been neglecting some of my colors lately and it needed some love. I then matted my Very Vanilla with Tip Taupe this is stamped with an oldie but goody, vintage Stampin' UP! Chicken Wire Background stamp using Tip Top Taupe Ink. I then adhered the Burlap Ribbon to the left side of the card using Scor-Tape. I did this because sometimes I get a little too happy with the glue and oozes! Frankly the less messy the better (My mom would tell you that as a kid I could drink a Slurpee through a straw and STILL get it all over my face!). I then took the new In-Color 2014-2016 Ribbon and layered it over the burlap. The stamped Horse and Girl image in Tip Top Taupe is from Unity Stamp Co.. It is called Felt with the Heart it is designed by Phyllis Harris. This is one of many that I have of hers.... I LOVE THEM! The sentiment which is shown closer below "Sometimes we just need someone to be there" is from another one of Unity Stamp Co and Phyllis Harris. It is called We Just Need Someone. I adhered the cute little banner using the 2 way glue pen.

Thank You all for stopping in! I am really looking forward to seeing your creations!!
Have a great Day!

OSAT Blog Hop Designers Choice

Welcome back to the September OSAT Blog Hop! I am so glad you stopped by this month because it is a Designers Choice! Did I mention we have some new hoppers with us this month??  Make sure you stop by Dena, Renee, Maria, Raquelle and Jeanna's blog and welcome! I am so tickled to have these ladies on our hop with us! I must say Andrea totally knocked it out of the park this month! I just love her work! We have all worked really hard to put together an amazing hop for you so let's get to it!

I am so excited about my creations this hop... Color wise it is totally outside of my comfort zone!
The card started with a bright base of Watermelon Wonder card stock. I then did a matte in Basic Black to coordinate with tag! The Whisper White is stamped using the sadly retired I Love Lace background stamp in the new In Color Mint Macaron. I softly daubed the edges of this layer with the Mint Macaron as well. The sentiment is from the Friendly Wishes set. I stamped this using Versamark ink then heat embossed Stampin' Emboss White Emboss powder on my favorite Chalk Tag framelit. I then accented the tag with flower embellishments in Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder. I added the Watermelon Wonder tag behind the black to really make it pop! Then I finished it off with the Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Bow!

My project of course had to coordinate! I cut the pieces used to make the Curvy Keepsake box. Before putting things together I decided to stamp the Whisper White with I Love Lace in Mint Macaron and again daubed the edges. As I put this box together I was thinking that it kind of look like a little sachet. My butterfly I did the clear embossing powder in two layers as I have before to give it that shiny look. I also accented the butterfly with a in color flower and a Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Bow!

Phew!!! Done! Feel free to ask questions! Don't forget to tour the whole hop!
Next is my #CBF Over-AchiEva! I am sure she is going to have some seriously cute creations!
Enjoy!

Stamp Ink Paper 13 Happy Birthday

Hey there and welcome back to another beautiful week of  the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge.
School is in full swing and the three day weekend was a quiet one! Got a visit from my lovely down line Bobbie on Saturday. We crafted and sipped margaritas most of Sunday! It was so much fun to have a girlfriend to stamp with!!!

This week we have a fabulous theme challenge! It is almost as easy as a card makers choice (which I tend to over think). The theme is Birthday! After making my card I realized it could be a birthday or even a wedding card...

So I started this card with a base of Rose Red card stock. I then matted the stamped layer with So Saffron. The stamped layer is Whisper White. The leaves I stamped across the bottom in Wild Wasabi are from the set Birthday Blossoms. It is amazing how fast that this card came together. The "Blossoms" from the set are stamped using So Saffron, Rose Red and Mint Macaron. After stamping this beautiful bouquet I used the Pansy Punch to punch them out. I then arranged them among the leaves and adhered them using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then accented the flowers with Basic Pearls in the center of each in assorted sizes. The sentiment stamped in Mint Macaron on the top left is also from the Birthday Blossoms set. To finish this card off I added a few more basic pearls around then sentiment and pretty little bow on the top right using the Jute Ribbon from the Spring Occasions catalog!

Thank You all so much for stopping by! Can't wait to see what you all come up with!
Have a great day!

ICS Blog Hop Introducing the Holiday Catalog

Happy Wednesday Evening!! I am hopping tonight with some of my favorite Stampin' Up! Friends and we are going to Inspire, Create, and Share from the NEW Holiday Catalog!! Have you had a chance to look at it?? If not, you are sure missing out!!! Did you not just love Megan's creations?

I couldn't wait to use my Sparkly Seasons Bundle.... I'll give you the details!

This card started with a standard A2 Base in Old Olive CS. Next was a quick layer of Cherry Cobbler CS. I then used the polka dot pattern DSP from the Merry Moments DSP pack. This paper is also available in a stack in the new Holiday Catalog.  I stamped the snow man using our new Basic Black Archival ink and used Mossy Meadow, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Markers to color him. I then used the "Snow" stamp with Smoky Slate ink so you could visualize the snow. Now in the Sparkly seasons bundle you are going to find a circle framelit. This is the die I used to cut out the snowman circle.  I embellished the snow falling and the hill with some dazzling details for some sparkle! Then I layered this on to an Old Olive CS circle using our Circle Framelits. I had some Glimmer Paper scraps and made a quick little boarder using the Red and Dazzling Diamonds to do this. I also used the Red Glimmer paper for the sentiment "Snow" on the top left which is also from the Sparkly Seasons bundle.  I really thought I was done, but felt like it needed a little bit more. The wooden snowflakes were just the ticket...

I really hope you love my creation! I can't wait for you to see what Nichole has next!! Have a great evening!

Stamp Ink Paper 12 Black, White and....

It's Tuesday!!!! We all made it through another Monday! Guess what goes live today!? Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog!!! Kids are back in school but still have yet a day to myself because Mr. Tucker had Thursday through Monday off for our weekend full of fun with my Dad!

This weeks challenge is pretty simple! Who doesn't love black, white with a simple pop of color? I hope you love what I came up with...

This great started with a lovely base of Pink Pirouette card stock. I then did a layer of Basic Black card stock with a piece of striped DSP from the Timeless Elegance DSP. The stamps I used were from a cute little Unity set. I stamped these on Very Vanilla using the new Archival Basic Black ink from Stampin' Up! They really outdid themselves on this one! It is a really great black to use! I like it more than my Memento... I used the Banner Triple Punch to make the banner on the bottom right and accented it with flowers from the retired Artisan embellishment kit (I hoarded like 6 of these before they went bye-bye)... The Very Vanilla enamel dots will be in the Holiday Catalog today... A really cute quick and easy for you!

Can't wait to see what you all use for your POP of color!!
