SIP 11 Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Wow!! I can't believe we are on week 11!!! I want to take a minute to thank you all for joining us each week!!

Welcome to week 11 of Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenges! Have I mentioned that the kids go back to school this week? Maybe I will post back to school photos of them with next weeks challenge. It hasn't been a dull summer and we still have one more action packed weekend planned for the Tucker clan. Grandma and Grandpa Tracy are coming to Colorado!

This week we have a great game of Tic Tac Toe! I honestly thought I would have used something with the butterfly! It just wasn't working out though... I hope you like what I rounded up for my tic tac toe!! Here are the details...

This cute card started with a Night of Navy card stock base. I used the new specialty paper that has the wood grain on it as my next layer... The card was super easy and came together quickly. My little Cowboy is from a Phyllis Harris set by Unity. I stamped the image on the Very Vanilla card stock in Night of Navy ink. Going with the Masculine theme I decided that a cowboy is a "Rootin' Tootin'" kind of fella so I broke out my photopolymer set Yee Haw and stamped the sentiment at the top. The "Rootin' Tootin'" part is stamped using Night of Navy ink once again and the Birthday part was stamped in Tip Top Taupe. I have that really cute Cuttlebug Embossing Folder that does the Barb Wire. I did that along the left side and completed the look with the retired blue denim ribbon and a couple metallic colored candy dots!

Thank you all for stopping by! I can't wait to see how you make three in a row!
Have a great week!

Stamp Ink Paper 10 Inspiration Challenge

Hey there and happy Tuesday to you all! I am glad to see that we all survived Monday... Tornado Watches and all! So this thing with the pool closing over a week ago SUCKS! The kids dang near had me commit myself yesterday.... There was fighting, whining and more fighting!! I finally noticed that our schools are starting a week later than last year! Should I send them the bill to color my hair??

We have a new design team member!!! I am so excited that Ginger Pelfrey has joined us! Fellow design team member Lisa Altman picked our Inspiration Challenge this week! I loved it and knew that I could go in SO many ways with it! I have been on a flowers with wood kick lately. I can't wait for you to see what I have put together for you! But first let me show you the inspiration....

I really love the way that this card turned out!! I started it with a lovely base of Tip Top Taupe card stock with a matted layer of Cherry Cobbler. The "wood" DSP is from the Farmers Market DSP collection. I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to make it look a little weathered. I stamped the Definitely Dahlia with Versamark ink, used Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Emboss powder and then used our Heat Tool to heat emboss it! I also used "Choose Happiness" from its set. I used the Stampin' Write markers in Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobbler. I punched this out using the bracket label punch. I also used the Vintage Photo Distress ink to rub the edges and then finished it with some "metallic" candy dots (I colored Candy Dots with a Gold Sharpie). The Burlap Trim is actually our Burlap Ribbon. I cut the edges off so that it would fray. I attached it to the card using Scor-Tape. Next I used a Retired/Vintage Crochet Trim over the top and tied a simple square knot. To finish this card off I attached the sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals and broke out the new enamel dots that you will get to see in the Holiday Catalog on September 1st!

Thank You all so much for stopping by!
I can't wait to see what this picture inspires you to make!

OSAT Blog Hoppers Back To School

Welcome to this months One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! I just can't get over how cute Andrea's stuff was!! I can't believe that summer is almost over and the kids are heading back to school! Which is our theme this month... Back to School!
If you KNOW me, I am the mother that crafts for EVERY party... I even offered to make 30 Teacher Cards to welcome our elementary school teachers back to school! I really had fun making these cards and I can't wait for you to take peak!!!

Here are my goodies! They are a little of something old, something new, something borrowed and unfortunately I didn't use blue! In these projects I used Stampin' Up! Unity Stamps and a CuttleBug embossing folder!

I started this card with a lovely base of Mossy Meadow Card Stock, With a quick layer of Tip Top Taupe. The Very Vanilla layer is stamped using the Hardwood stamp with Tip Top Taupe ink. I then cut about a 2 inch strip and embossed with a Chicken Wire embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The dotted lace trim was glued to the back before adhering the strip to the Hardwood. The Apple and "of my eye" is from Unity Stamp Co. I stamped the sentiment on the Very Vanilla card stock with Mossy Meadow ink. The Apple I made by using Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Emboss Powder. The leaf was colored in with Mossy Meadow. I finished off this great card by adhering the apple with Stampin' Dimensional and a Linen Thread Bow at the stem!

My cute little Post-It Note holder I made using Mossy Meadow Card Stock as the base so that it would coordinate with the card. I managed to find a retired school themed paper that went well with the card stock. Then embellished with linen thread and a heat embossed apple much like the one on the card. Finished with a linen thread bow! You can get the Post It Note Tutorial here.

Thank You all so much for touring the hop!!  Wait to until you see what Martie has whipped up for you!! She is so talented!

Have a fabulous day!

SIP 9 Sketch Challenge Grateful Ballerina

Welcome to another fabulous week of Stamp, Ink, Paper!!! It was so nice to see many entries this last week!! You all are so talented!!! Thank you all so much for joining us!! Justin has an amazing sketch this week and I can't wait to share my card.

Well the pool officially closed this weekend. Bummer, because we still have over two weeks of summer break... But who's counting?? Kids received backpacks and shoes courtesy of Papa and Meema... They were so excited!!

I got my pre order of goodies from the new Holiday Catalog!! I can't wait for you all to see it!!

I started this card with a soft base of Smoky Slate card stock. I then used a color that I haven't don't use often Rose Red. I had a piece of Pink Pirouette already embossed with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder. I took a strip of the sequins in Silver and Blushing Bride on the to resemble the stripes on the left in the sketch. My Ballerina snow globe was made using the Sparkly Seasons Bundle!! I stamped the ballerina with our new Basic Black archival ink and then colored her using Pink Pirouette and Rose Red Stampin' Write markers. This set is photopolymer so it made stamping the snow globe sparkles really easy! I stamped these with Versamark and heat embossed them using the Iridescent Ice embossing powder! To add some foof I had some pink tulle to add to the skirt. The sentiment is also from this bundle! I used the Iridescent Ice embossing powder on Smoky Slate before running it through my Big Shot to get my glittery sentiment! What's a ballerina without a bow?!

Thank You all for stopping!! Have fun creating!!!

Stamp, Ink, Paper #8 Card Makers Choice

Hey there and great Tuesday to you all! If you are reading this, you obviously lived through another Monday! Here at the Tucker house our summer break is almost over. No, I am not counting down or anything but in 22 days all three kids will be back in school! Registration kind of put me in the mood! Even the kids are kind over going to the pool (Which closes this weekend)... We have a couple weekend getaways coming up so they will still have some fun things to look forward to!

What better is a challenge that has NO RULES!! So this weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge is a Card Makers Choice! That is right, You can use what ever you want and I can't wait to see what you all come up with! I really was inspired by Justin's colors yesterday! We all know that if I could use Blushing Bride on every card I would!! Here is my "Card Makers Choice" card!!

This card kind of happened on accident. I started with the idea of a flower on the doily with a white washed woodgrain chevron in the background... But I messed up the paper!!! Anywho... There is ALWAYS a plan B and I am tickled with the way it turned out!

The cards base is a standard A2 Base in Blushing Bride with a quick matted layer of Mint Macaron. I then grabbed from the vintage stash of Stampin' Up!  the Positively Chevron background stamp and stamped in Sahara Sand on Whisper White Card Stock. I then used half of a doily at about the half way mark. The Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim seemed to finish this embellishment off. I am so sad that they retired Regarding Dahlia... However, it won't go unused! I stamped it in Blushing Bride ink, next used Versamark so that I could use our Heat N Stick. Once that process was finished I sprinkled our Dazzling Diamonds on it! Now for the sentiment! I wanted it to have the shabby chic look to it... So I grabbed from out current set Tag Talk the "For You" sentiment. I stamped it with our Mint Macaron ink onto the Whisper White Card Stock then used the coordinating Label Bracket Punch to create the finished look! You really can't see the sparkle this card has... It is one of my favorites!

Now that you got to see what I made with no rules, Go get crafty!!! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!! Happy Stamping!
