Stamp Ink Paper 7 Color Challenge

Welcome to our 7th week of Stamp, Ink, Paper!! I hope that all of my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator friends have recovered from convention! I am so sorry that I missed it.

Well the kids are officially registered for the 2015-16 school year! I still don't understand why 1. The public pool closes on the 8th of August and 2. Why we start school before Labor Day...
At any rate... We are registered and I am ready to have a solid 8 hours to myself! Maybe then I can finally blog daily!

We have a really fabulous color challenge this week! It does lean towards the masculine side which is ALWAYS a struggle for me!

The cards started with a lovely base of Pacific Point with a quick matted layer of Daffodil Delight! The next layer is Whisper White card stock that I stamped using our Into the Wild background stamp with Sahara Sand ink. To keep with the "Zoo" theme I decided that the Decorative Dots embossing folder suited the card and embossed the Pacific Point strip. I punched 3,  1 1/4" Scallop Circles punch in the Daffodil Delight. I then stamped the Zebra, Monkey and Alligator from Zoo Babies with all 3 challenge colors and punched them using 1" circle and adhered them to the scallop circles using Stampin' Dimensionals. My cute little banner at the bottom was made with a strip of Whisper White that was adhered to the Daffodil Delight strip then stamped with the sentiment from the set Bravo in Pacific Point ink. I embellished this with a Pacific Point button that was threaded with a Linen Thread bow. To complete the card I popped a few little Candy Dots in Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point.

Thank You again for stopping by! I am anxiously awaiting to see what you are going to come up with for this challenge!

Stamp, Ink, Paper 6 Tic Tac Toe

Hey there and welcome to another week of Stamp, Ink, Paper!! I am so glad to see the Christmas in July buzz fading away!

School registration is next week!! GO ME! The kids only have 3 days left of swim lessons! They have come so far! I now am the proud mother of 3 Fish LOL!

We have a really fun challenge for you this week! It is a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! When you make your card you are just going to want to be sure that you have three in a row! My three in a row is Enamel Dots (I cheated and used Sequins), Floral and Blue!!

This card started with a lovely base of Smoky Slate Card Stock (Did I mention that I accidentally ordered two packs of it?). I then did a quick matte in Bermuda Bay which I thought was blue enough!
The next layer was fun! I simply stamped the Whisper White Card stock  using the Hardwood stamp in Smoky Slate. I then used Definitely Dahlia in Bermuda Bay to cover the floral aspect. I embellished the center with sporadic sizes and colors of sequins for the center as my enamel dots! The sentiment (which is more visible in person) says Beautiful Soul. This is a great stamp from Unity Stamp Co. I stamped this using Versamark Ink and then used the Retired Smoky Slate embossing powder! To finish this card off I did a quick little bow on the left!
Boom!!! Tic Tac Toe!!!

Thank You all for stopping by! I can't wait to see your three in row!!

Stamp Ink Paper #5 Christmas In July

Hey there! Good Tuesday to you! Welcome back to another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge. This week our challenge is a theme and of course we could not wait to get into the Christmas spirit! So Christmas in July it is!
The summer seems to slipping away faster and faster! We went to a family reunion over the weekend and the views were spectacular!

Waterfall you can see off the rocks. Westcliffe, Colorado
I am almost ready for the kids to be back in school. However, it will be bitter sweet because this will be the first time in 9 years that I have had no kids at home for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week... More time in the stamp room for me!!!! I must confess though, when it is a 100+ degrees Fahrenheit outside it is a little difficult to think of Christmas!

This great card started with a base of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, with a matted layer of Pear Pizzazz. The Burlap I bought in a 12 x 12 stack at Michael's and it is by DCWV. I actually used our Rotary Blade on the Stampin' Trimmer to cut this! I pulled some of the loose threads on the sides to kind of give it that frayed edge. The Christmas Tree is from the Retired Special Season stamp set. I stamped this in Pear Pizzazz on to Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used some Wink of Stella in Gold, Silver and White to give the tree some sparkle! I then used the new Lots of Labels Framelits to cut the tree out. I then adhered it to the Burlap using ScorTape. The cork numbers on the bottom right are something I had honestly had in my stash. They were given to me in a stash so I used some Multipurpose Tombow Glue to make sure they didn't come off. The "Merry" is from our sadly retired Expressions Thinlits set. I simply cut this out of Cherry Cobbler card stock and used my Two Way Glue Pen to adhere it to the card!

I really love the way that this turned out! I can't wait to see what the holiday spirit inspires in you!

SIP 4-An Inspiration Challenge

Hey there and welcome back to another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge!
It has been one crazy week and I am so honored to have my wedding flowers as our inspiration this week! It really did take me back 10 years and reflect on that day! Mr. Tucker and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary on July 2nd with our amazing friends. It was nice to have an adult night out in the middle of summer break!

This card really came together nicely! I wanted to do something I hadn't really done before by having the oval "window", after that it all just came together on its own! Here are the details...

The card base is the lovely Blushing Bride card stock. I then did a clean layer of Very Vanilla card stock. The Rose Die cut is from Dies by Dave. I used the die on my Blushing Bride Card stock. I then heat embossed Stampin' Emboss Clear powder on it twice to give it a shiny appearance. Next I embossed our Tip Top Taupe with our Wood-grain embossing folder and then used the Oval Framelit collection to cut the oval shaped "window" out so that the roses on top of the Very Vanilla could show through. I then wrapped our Venetian Crochet trim around the top and tied a pretty little bow. The banner with "Congratulations"  from the set Big News stamped on it was made using the hexagon punch on the end... It was a little to narrow for out Triple Banner Punch. I used my bone folder to give it a little wave. My stash of Very Vanilla Flower Trim as well as the Blushing Bride flower trim from the retired Artisan embellishment kit came in handy to accent the left side of the banner. I have learned the sequins make everything better! Plus, in my wedding pictures I have a great shot of Mr. Tucker and I walking down the aisle through a shower of bubbles. The Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh reminded me of the bubbles!

Thank you all for Stampin' By! Can't wait to see what you are inspired to do with this picture!! Have a great day!

ICS Blog Hop Butterflies Are Free

Hey there hope you all are having a good evening.  It was roasty toasty today with a high 98 degrees and I am off to Softball with the church group tonight I managed to NOT go to the pool today! The middle Tucker, Joshua had his friend over for some lunch... I managed to get some cleaning done and hope to have friends over on the 4th! Before all that, Mr Tucker and I are going out tomorrow night for our 10 Year Anniversary!!

I am hopping with the ICS crew this evening! I would like to take a minute to thank Deb Naylor for adding me to this great hop! Wasn't Terri's creations completely adorbs?
This months theme is "Butterflies Are Free"! I love Butterflies... I think I have almost everything butterfly that we have offered!

This great card started with a beautiful base of Tip Top Taupe. I then did a quick layer of Mint Macaron. The Very Vanilla layer is stamped with the Feel Goods stamped set using Versamark Ink and Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. The small butterfly is from the Butterfly Basics set in the lovely Tip Top Taupe ink. I then took a scrap of the Tip Top Taupe that was embossed using the new Boho Chic embossing folder. I attached the Mint Macaron Dotted lace to the back using Sticky Strip (I still have a stash of it). Next I used Venetian Crochet Trim and Gold Metallic Bakers Twine across the embossed strip.  The butterflies were made using the Butterfly Thinlits in Mint Macaron. The smaller being stamped with Versamark and also heat embossed with the Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. To finish this card off I used the new In Color Blossom Accents in Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe...

I hope you enjoyed my card! There is list of everything used at the bottom of my post!! Thank You all for stopping by! Next is Deb Naylor! She actually is the start of the hop!

Have a great evening!
