This week at  Stamp, Ink, Paper we have a great color challenge!! I must admit it was even a challenge for me to use the three together! But I pulled up my big girl pants and did it! I am really loving the way that this card has turned out, here are the details...

This card started with a base of Bermuda Bay Card stock with two quick layers of Smoky Slate then Real Red. My stamped layer is Whisper White. I first stamped the corners using the cluster of flowers from Birthday Blossoms in Smoky Slate. I then used the big flower from Birthday Blossoms that coordinates with our Pansy Punch. I stamped them in Real Red and Bermuda Bay. I used the same inks on the Petite Petals flowers. I adhered these to the card using our Stampin' Dimensionals. To add some sparkle I used some Basic Rhinestones for the centers of the flowers. Being as that this week is my wedding anniversary I felt very "Happily Ever After" this is from the great set Big News! Very clean simple and easy to make!

Thank You all for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you create with this amazing color scheme!!
Happy Stamping!

Friendly Wishes SIP #2-Sketch Challenge

Hey there! Welcome back for the second Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge! I can't thank you all enough for jumping on board for our first challenge! We had an amazing 41 entries and I must say it was really hard for me to pick!
This week we have an amazing sketch designed by our fearless leader!! Our whole team has an amazing take on this sketch. So make sure you stop by and take peak at all of my team mates cards as well!
Click here to get to challenge #2!!
This weeks card was a little hard for me... I don't think I am in a creative funk but with everything "Summer" going on around here it was hard for me to sit down and focus! I am sure my fellow card making friends will know what I mean! Here are the details...

This card is a lovely base of Lost Lagoon. The next layer of Smokey Slate Card stock is embossed with the Zig Zag Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I then used my new 2014-2016 In Color Designer Series Paper. I chose the the fabulous new polka dot pattern in Lost Lagoon. I had a scrap of the embossed Smokey Slate so I used it with the Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon on the left hand side. Now, for the tag I cut the strip to make sure that it would fit in the Scallop Tag Topper punch. I then stamped the sentiment from the "Friendly Wishes" set in Versamark and then heat embossed White Stampin' Emboss Powder with my Heat Tool. I had originally made the bow using my Bow Builder Punch using the polka dot paper. It just didn't work so I reached into a stash of DSP that I have and used a piece of the All is Calm DSP which has since been retired but hey it worked! Instead of using the paper center for the bow, I ended up using a small piece of the ribbon. I popped a few Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh on the bottom right and VOILA! Done!

Thank You all for stopping in! Can't wait to see what you create with this sketch!!
Have a fabulous week!

SIP #1 Card Makers Choice Happy Fathers Day

Hey there! Glad to see that you all made it through Monday!! I was not able to skip a beat yesterday! The boys and I got our hair done. Then all 3 of my kids had 45 minute swim lessons and after that was Slurpee time! I have a feeling this WHOLE week will be a blur! Appointments and swim both tomorrow and Wednesday. Mr Tucker and I play Softball Wednesday night. Thursday swim lessons AGAIN.... In the midst of all this I have to pack for banzai run to Oklahoma (Where the wind comes sweeping through the plains) for our nieces wedding. Taryn, our youngest is a flower girl! I am tired just thinking about it!!!

My post for today is a reminder for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is plenty of time for you to play and enter into our challenge!! Here is another look at the challenge...

So obviously I am Stampin' Up! Demonstrator! But I recently stumbled on Unity Stamp Company!
No I am not jumping ship!!! However, they have some really cute sets like the one used below called "Determination" . They also have sets with really funny (sometimes inappropriate) sayings! If you know me you know that there are times where anything but appropriate...

I started this card kind of backwards! I received my Unity order today and wanted to see what the little boy in the boots looked like! So I stamped him using Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  I used the retired ticket corner punch to give it a more "western" look. I obviously fell in love at this point! I then matted this layer with Soft Suede card stock and used our Candy Dots colored with a silver metallic Sharpie to give the appearance of nail heads in the corners. I set this aside began concentrating on the base of the card. I started this card with a standard base of Sahara Sand card stock. I wanted to be sure to still coordinate with square panel. So I did the next layer in Soft Suede card stock. I began to panic when I realized what I had done... Because now my square with little guy on it was not going to pop! I stared at it for a bit then I knew what to do! I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and used a Cuttlebug embossing folder that does the strip of Barb Wire on the bottom edge. I then adhered the square panel to the barb wired panel and my card was almost complete! The "lasso" on the bottom right was made using Linen Thread that I looped about 6 times around my fingers and fed through a hole in the "cowboy" tag made with our Photopolymer set Yee-Haw. I had stamped this in Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake card stock. The cowboy hat on the top right was also made with Yee-Haw! The kicker is that I bought these amazing dies from Dies By Dave so I was able to die cut the cowboy hat and have it "hang" on the corner! The sentiment "Your Day" is from a set in the new Annual Catalog it is called You're So Sweet.

The Inside!
I made this card with Mr. Tucker in mind! After all he is our favorite cowboy here! So I used the rope from the Yee-Haw set in Crumb Cake ink. Finally, I stamped the "Happy Father's Day" from the retired set Delightful Dozen in the center!

Thank you all for stopping by!! Don't forget Stamp, Ink, Paper still has the rest of the week for you to enter your creations!! Can't wait to see what you are going to enter!

Sometimes I Surprise My Self!!

So I am not going to lie. It is a rainy, gray and nasty day here in Colorado! It is in the low 60's and definitely not pool weather for the kids! I have been spending a few hours every morning in the stamp room... This morning I got an early start and was working on a gift for Tina Riddle! I was surfing the net and decided to look to see what TGIF Challenges weekly challenge was... I haven't really gotten into the groove of a post each day or participating only in certain challenges. I tend to participate in the challenges that trip my trigger! After seeing this sketch I knew immediately what I wanted to do! I have to admit, I COMPLETELY surprised myself with this card! I hope you enjoy...

Click here to see the TGIF Challenge

Yesterday while cleaning off my work space I found a ton of half sheets of 8.5 x 11" card stock! I folded all of it into card bases to have ready to go and just maybe use what I have right there handy instead of reaching into my stash...

I started this card with a base of Basic Black card stock. I wasn't sure I wanted to put a layer between the DSP and the base but after I started putting stuff together I decided to put a layer of Very Vanilla. The Basic Black and Very Vanilla striped paper is from the DSP Collection called Timeless Elegance. I decided to cut the paper so that the stripes were horizontal much like the sketch! I am usually not that literal with a sketch but it worked!! I recently had an Etsy gift card where I stumbled on someone selling the Rose Plate Die that cuts the paper much like the laser cut in the Artisan Embellishment Kit from the Spring Occasions catalog. I used Rose Plate die on the Gold Foil Sheet and then used Multipurpose Glue to adhere it to the Basic Black card stock as the background! I then tried to come up with my corner embellishment. I cut the medium sized butterfly from the Butterfly Thinlits Dies out of Basic Black card stock. First I coated the butterfly with Versamark. I then coated it with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and used our Heat Tool. I did these steps twice to get a super shiny effect. It absolutely came out better than I thought! The sentiment is also heat embossed. It is from the set Birthday Blossoms. I took a small scrap of Very Vanilla stamped with Versamark , used the Gold Stampin' Emboss powder, my Heat Tool and Voila! Oops I almost forgot! I used our new Triple Banner Punch on the end! I attached this to my butterfly using glue dots and then topped it with one of the roses from the Artisan Embellishment Kit. I fastened this to the card using a half of a Stampin' Dimensional!

I know when some of you look at this card and then look at the rest on my blog you are going to go "Wow! Outside her box!". I seriously surprised myself with this one! When I finished this card I literally closed up the stamp room and walked out!
No there will not be an encore tonight LOL!!!

Thank You all for stopping by!

OSAT Blog Hop-Happy Father's Day!

Hey there and welcome to our One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! We are all creating Masculine or Father's Day themed goodies this month! Weren't Justin Kriegers creations AH-MAZING!!! I truly want inside his head for just one day!

As I may have said before I really struggle with the masculine look... I was on the phone with my mom when she said "What about that Labrador Die?"... Who knew that I would get my creative epiphany from my NON-crafty mom!?   So here is my "Father's Day" Card and Beer Bottle Tag!

You all are probably wondering where I got the die! It is made by Cottage Cutz and called Labrador 4 x 4". I was able to find it on Amazon of all things! My Labradors are cut out of Delightful Dijon and Basic Black! The grass on the card was made using this die as well and was made using Mossy Meadow.

The card started with a base of Tip Top Taupe (I am obviously infatuated with this color!!). I then took the Sahara Sand for a nice monochromatic lighter layer. My Very Vanilla is stamped using the Hardwood stamp in Tip Top Taupe ink! I used my sponge dauber to rub the edges lightly with the Tip Top Taupe as well. The Burlap Ribbon is loosely fastened on to the card with the two Antique Brads. The Labrador with grass die cut are attached using a small piece of Sticky Strip and a Stampin' Dimensional. The sentiment is from the great new set Friendly Wishes. I stamped this using Tip Top Taupe ink and then used the Triple Banner Punch to do the banner end! To complete the look I sponge daubed the edges with the Tip Top Taupe.

Now for my "Beer Bottle Tag"...

This tag coordinates perfectly with the card... I used the same die for the Labrador head but instead of using the grass die on the Mossy Meadow, I used the Fringe Scissors instead! The "Happy Father's Day" sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! Set called Delightful Dozen... I made the cute little banner using the Triple Banner Punch and the using a 3/4" Circle on the end with  a little bit of linen thread! This too was sponge daubed with Tip Top Taupe... I completed this tag using two small distressed metal brads at the top to give the look of nail heads!

I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for stopping by! My neighbor for this hop is Darla! I can't for you to see her cute and creative goodies!

Happy Thursday to you!!

Breaking in the New Toys-Can You Case It #73

Hey there! It was a scorcher here today in the mid 90's! Took the kids to the pool along with the rest of our little town! Really crowded! My mini garden is not liking the heat either! Me? Well I am a tank top and flip-flop girl come summer time! For the first time in 20 years my legs match my arms!

The Can You Case It crew has a great color challenge going on!! It was great opportunity for me to break in the new goodies that I bought out of the new catalog!! The colors are below and if you click on the image it will take you right to CYCI!! You should join the fun!

This card started with a beautiful base of Sahara Sand card stock. I then added a quick layer of Basic Black card stock and then trimmed a piece of the NEW Timeless Elegance DSP that looks like a black lace on top of a Sahara Sand back ground. This entire pack of paper is simply amazing. The Sahara Sand square is 3.75" x 3.75". I then cut Very Vanilla 3.5" x 3.5" and stamped the Definitely Dahlia Background stamp in Blushing Bride. The sentiment is from Birthday Blossoms. I stamped this using Versamark and then used the Stampin' Emboss Powder in Black with our Heat Tool. The cute little embellishment in the top left was made using the Sahara Sand Lace, Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon and then topped off with a Something Borrowed Embellishment. I still felt as though the card was needing just a little something. So I took 3 of the Basic Rhinestones on the bottom right to keep things balanced!

Phew!! This card brewed ALL NIGHT last night! I have another one brewing with some new goodies as well!! Maybe I will show you on Friday?!
Have a fabulous day!!

SIP #1-Getting To Know You Challenge

Happy Monday! Wait that is kind of an oxymoron, but it is a happy one here! Welcome to the NEW Stamp, Ink, Paper Weekly Challenge! I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be a part of this new adventure with my esteemed leader Justin Krieger! We are hoping to keep things ALWAYS fun and interesting trying to stretch you outside your card making comfort zone! This past week has been crazy! Pool, home, horses, kids, new catalog, cards, kids... I’m sure that a number of you will understand!! I have been in a total creative black out! Even when I had no boundaries it wasn't until this past Friday that I was able to get this little honey together!

I am so in love with the new Stampin' Up! In-Colors!! I am sure you will be seeing me use them a lot in the future!

The base of this card was started with the new Tip Top Taupe Card Stock. With a pretty layer of the Mint Macaron which is also new!!! The Very Vanilla layer was embossed with TIEF Lovely Lace and then trimmed with the new Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace (which I also LOVE!). I fussy cut the flowers from the stamp set Choose Happiness. I stamped these in both the Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride inks. The cute little wood banner on the top right is also from the Choose Happiness stamp set. I embellished the banner with a cute button from the Very Vintage Designer Buttons then finished it off with a bow tied through it with the Linen Thread. I fastened two of the flowers with Mini Glue Dots and the third with Stampin' Dimensionals. I know you all are probably wondering where I got the sentiment... Well, it is Unity! It came from their May 2015 sentiment kit and well, It worked with the card! Finally the flowers needed some umph! So I busted out some Basic Pearls and put them on in random sizes!!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with! A challenge with no boundaries!! To top it off our first challenge will last two weeks!! So get to it! Make something with your favorite goodies!!
Have a fabulous week!! Thank You for stopping by!
