Halloweeny!!!

Happy Monday to you all!! I know that can kind of seem like an oxymoron. It seems as though lately that Monday's are a day where I have to hit the ground running, so to speak! Today's card is Halloween in theme and pretty simple!

So I started with a card base of Basic Black card stock folded landscape style. The DSP on the top half is from the Back To Black DSP. The bottom is Elegant Eggplant card stock that I embossed with the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The mat for my sentiment is also Elegant Eggplant. The sentiment came from the Holiday Catalog, it is called Mingle All The Way. I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write markers to achieve the multicolored stamped image. To finish this off I rubbed Pumpkin Pie along the edges of the stamped sentiment... Simple, cute and yes sometimes less is more! Tomorrow, Chalk Talk!!!

Yee Haw!!

Yee-Haw!! It is Saturday!!! Hope you are having a wonderful fall weekend. I got up and made a big breakfast of Ham, Eggs and Hash browns. Father Tucker pitched by making biscuits. Needless to say I think I am good until supper. I found an older Mojo Monday Sketch #254 to post in One Stamp At A Time Cards & More for our weekly color/sketch challenge. This was what I came up with after dwelling on it over my breakfast..

I started with a base of Chocolate Chip card stock, folded landscape style. The next layer of Coastal Cabana card stock is embossed using the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I then cut the Burlap 1 1/4 inch Ribbon and Natural 5/8 inch Chevron ribbon for the trim underneath the panel. Now if you know me, I am a cowgirl at heart!!! The Barbwire, Stars and Yee-Haw are from our photo-polymer set called "Yee-Haw". I do believe that I am now ADDICTED to this set!!! The barb wire was stamped using Chocolate Chip. Yee-Haw was stamped with Coastal Cabana. The stars were also stamped with Coastal Cabana and then embellished with Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Last but certainly not least, my cowgirl boot!!! This is from the Bootiful Occasions set, stamped in Chocolate Chip, colored with my Stampin' Write Marker in Coastal Cabana with some extra little bling with the Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the stars attached with Stampin' Dimensionals and Yes I fussy cut the boot... Phew!!!! That was a lot of work for this cowgirl!!! Hope you love it the way I did while doing it! Until tomorrow, Happy Trails!!

Finally it is FRIDAY!!! Manage to get another great card done using this weeks Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge #510... It isn't quite the same but it was my inspiration... I really had a hard time trying to figure out what sentiment to use on the front...

So with this card I started with a standard A2 base in Blackberry Bliss card stock. I then embossed Calypso Coral card stock with the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as my background. The Banner Framelits were used on the left with Blackberry Bliss and a layer of DSP from the Park Lane Designer Series Paper pack.  On the Flowers I used the Pansy Punch with the Flower Shop stamp set in Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral and Baked Brown Sugar and then embellished with Rhinestone Basic Jewels. The sentiment was stamped with Baked Brown Sugar and dots in Blackberry Bliss both are from the Perfect Pennants set.
I hope you enjoy my cheerful card! Have a Stamp-Tabulous weekend!!!

Hello!!! I am new to the blog side of things! So bear with me. With the holidays fast approaching I decided to finally do an order from the holiday catalog. In a group I run with another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator on Facebook One Stamp At A Time Cards & More the challenge this week is a Free Standing Pop Up Card using the tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/freestandingpopupcard/...
I heat embossed Stampin' Emboss Powder White on the base with the medium snowflake in Endless Wishes. The base as well as the base for the tag were made using Lost Lagoon card stock. I then stamped the "There's No Happy like holiday Happy" from Mingle All The Way on the tag.. Using my circle punches designated in the above tutorial I used Lost Lagoon for my bigger circle and a DSP from All Is Calm for the smaller circle. The embellishment is the All is Calm Snowflake Embellishment tied neatly on with Linen Thread and Lost Lagoon Taffeta Ribbon.
